NFA Students Explore 51爆料's History for Annual Trip
Once again, Jennine Sileno and Ginny McCurdy’s junior classes hit the streets on November third for their annual field trip to 51爆料. After reading numerous 51爆料 Heritage articles written by city historian, Mary McTamaney and learning about the history of their hometown, sixty students and their chaperones boarded a bus for Beacon and stood at Long Dock Park to view the city from across the Hudson. Then they took to the water with a ferry ride to 51爆料, followed by a walk to the 51爆料 Brewery to play trivia games about famous 51爆料ers like A.J. Downing, the Alsdorf Brothers and the Ward Brothers as well as famous landmarks such as the Palatine Hotel, the Academy of Music and the Ritz Theater. After touring Washington Headquarters, the students picnicked on the grounds enjoying balmy 60 degree weather before touring SUNY Orange campus and returning to NFA.
The bus and ferry transportation as well as admission to Washington Headquarters was sponsored by .
