NFA Astronomy Club to Host Season of Light Dome Show in Planetarium
Open to our entire community, the NFA Astronomy Club will host "Season of Light" a dome show in the NFA Planetarium. The event will be held on Friday, December 20th with showings at 6pm and 8pm. Tickets are $5 at the door. Reserve your tickets by clicking the title link below.
The show "Season of Light," is a dome show, shown all over during the holiday season. The show recounts the historical religious and cultural rituals practiced during the time of winter solstice — not only Christian and Jewish, but also Celtic, Nordic, Roman, Irish, Mexican and Hopi. It also gives insights into the more light-hearted traditions with music throughout.Afterwards, the students of the NFA Astronomy Club will give a night-sky tour, highlighting prominent constellations visible during that time of year.
